Randall Brown, MD, MPH
Dr. Randall Brown completed his pediatric residency program at Boston University Medical School and received postgraduate training in pediatric pulmonology at Harvard University, Children’s Hospital of Boston. He received his Masters degree in Public Health (MPH) while at Harvard as well. In 2004, Dr. Brown joined Georgia Pediatric Pulmonology Associates. Dr. Brown is board certified in both pediatrics and pediatric pulmonology.
Dr. Brown is the director of research at Georgia Pediatric Pulmonology Associates. His research interests focus upon the epidemiology of asthma and clinician education/communication in asthma care. Dr. Brown serves as the director of the new sports breathing clinic at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Dr. Brown has published articles regarding asthma in many scientific journals, including Chest and Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology within the past year. He speaks at national and international asthma meetings; having recently participated as advisor and speaker at the 10-country Asian pediatric asthma forum. Dr. Brown has keen clinical interest in caring for children, teens, and young adults with asthma in addition to respiratory infections, allergic rhinitis, sickle cell disease, sleep disorders, cystic fibrosis, and chronic lung disease. Dr. Brown is the only pediatric pulmonologist nominated by fellow physicians to Michigan's Top 100 Doctor list--for three years in a row (2001-2004). He was named one of the “Best Doctors in America” for 2005-2006.
