LeRoy Graham, MD

Dr. Graham received his undergraduate degree from St. Joseph’s University in Pennsylvania and his medical degree from Georgetown University. He completed his pediatric training at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center (FAMC) and his pediatric pulmonology fellowship at the University of Colorado. Dr. Graham returned to FAMC as chief of the pediatric inpatient service and pediatric pulmonology and was an assistant professor in the department of pediatrics at the University of Colorado. He joined Georgia Pediatric Pulmonology Associates in 1993.

Dr. Graham is skilled in all areas of pediatric pulmonology, but his special interest is in the epidemiology and treatment of asthma, pulmonary complications of sickle cell disease and airway disorders requiring chronic ventilation. He has testified before Congress on the health effects of air pollution and passive smoking.

Dr. Graham was selected the Medical Professional of the Year by the Georgia Chapter of the American Lung Association in 1997 and Board Member of the year in 2003. Dr. Graham was pleased to be named Child Advocate of the Year in 2003 by the Fragile Kids Foundation. Dr. Graham served as medical director of Camp Breathe Easy, a summer camp for children with asthma, from 1996 to 2001. Dr. Graham served as chair of the Pediatric Section of the American College of Chest Physicians from 2000 to 2002. Dr. Graham is the proud recipient of the 2004 David Satcher Award presented by the CDC and DHPE for community based health promotion. Dr. Graham is the founder and medical director of Not One More Life, an asthma education and awareness initiative that partners with faith based communities in Atlanta. This program is a 2004 recipient of a pro-bono community service award from the CHEST foundation of the American College of Chest Physicians. Dr. Graham is a member of the Board of Directors of the Georgia Chapter of the American Lung Association, The Fragile Kids Foundation and The CHEST Foundation.

Dr. Graham has a clinical faculty appointment at Morehouse School of Medicine.

He is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric pulmonology and is a member of the Georgia State Medical Association, Georgia Thoracic Society, and Atlanta Medical Association and a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians.

He has hospital privileges at:

  • Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta: Scottish Rite, Egleston and Hughes Spalding
  • Northside Hospital

Dr. Graham is a native of Chicago, Illinois. He is married and the father of a daughter and son.
