Kevin Kirchner, MD

Dr. Kirchner earned his undergraduate degree from Quincy College in Quincy, Illinois. He received his medical degree from Southern Illinois University and completed his pediatric residency training at the University of Iowa. He then completed a pediatric pulmonary fellowship at the University of Rochester in New York. He was an assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of Colorado/Denver Children’s Hospital until he joined Georgia Pediatric Pulmonology Associates in 1995.

Dr. Kirchner is skilled in all areas of pediatric pulmonology though he has a particular interest in congenital lung anomalies, lung growth and development and cystic fibrosis.

Dr. Kirchner is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric pulmonology and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Thoracic Society. He has served as president of the department of medicine and director of medical staff credentialing at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite.

He has hospital privileges at:

  • Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta: Scottish Rite, Egleston and Hughes Spalding
  • Northside Hospital

Dr. Kirchner is a native of Beardstown, Illinois. He is married and the father of three children.
