Burt Lesnick, MD
Dr. Burt Lesnick earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from Boston University. He completed his pediatric residency at University of Texas Southwestern (Dallas Children’s Medical Center) and his fellowship in pulmonary medicine at University of Pennsylvania, School of Medicine (Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia). After moving to Atlanta, he served as assistant professor at Emory University School of Medicine from 1994 to May, 1999. He has served as the medical director of the Sleep Laboratory at Egleston Children’s Hospital, assistant director of the Egleston Apnea Center and medical director of the Subspecialty Clinics at Emory University - Department of Pediatrics. Dr. Lesnick joined Georgia Pediatric Pulmonology Associates in the Spring of 1999.
Dr. Lesnick is skilled in all areas of pediatric pulmonology including bronchoscopy. He has a particular interest in the diagnosis and management of sleep disorders in infants and children. Dr. Lesnick proudly serves as the managing partner at Georgia Pediatric Pulmonology Associates.
Board certified in pediatrics and pediatric pulmonology, Dr. Lesnick is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Chest Physicians, and a member of the American Thoracic Society and Georgia Thoracic Society. He is pleased to serve as the section chief of pulmonary medicine at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite and is an active member of the bio-ethics committee as well. In addition to his clinical and administrative responsibilities at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Dr. Lesnick has a clinical faculty appointment at Morehouse School of Medicine.

Dr. Lesnick is a native of Allentown, Pennsylvania. He is married and is the father of two young daughters. |
