Amy Garten, PA-C
Amy Garten earned her Bachelor of Science degree from University of Florida in Nursing in 2000. She worked as a pediatric registered nurse at Shands Hospital at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida for 4 years. She particularly enjoyed caring for cystic fibrosis and surgical patients, including postoperative lung transplant patients. She entered PA school in 2004 and earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from University of Florida College of Medicine in 2006.
She moved to Atlanta, GA in 2006 and worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Atlanta Medical Center. Wanting to get back into her first love, pediatrics, she joined GPPA in 2007. She enjoys working with premature babies and educating patients and parents about asthma.
Amy is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Georgia Association of Physician Assistants.
