Asthma Tip of the Month
January
How do you tell when your inhaler is empty?
Do the math!
Every inhaler is labeled with the number of metered actuations (puffs) it contains. Divide the number of puffs in the inhaler by the number of puffs you use each day to find out how many days the inhaler will last.
Here’s an example:
A FloVent inhaler contains 120 puffs. You use 2 puffs twice a day:
120 puffs / 4 puffs a day = 30 days |
