Our History
Georgia
Pediatric Pulmonology Associates was founded in January
1987 by Dr. Peter Scott. Under Dr. Scott’s guidance,
the practice has grown to become the largest private pediatric
pulmonology practice in the United States. The rapid growth
of Metro-Atlanta, coupled with the on-going quality care
that we provide to children with respiratory disease,
has led to the success and expansion of Georgia Pediatric
Pulmonology Associates. We are proud to provide the community
with the services of ten board certified pediatric pulmonologists, two board certified allergists
and nine mid-level providers.
Georgia Pediatric Pulmonology
Associates is staffed by board-certified physicians who
have completed extensive training in all aspects of pediatric/adolescent
respiratory disorders. Our physicians are assisted by
a staff of mid-level providers (pediatric nurse practitioners
and physician assistants) who have graduate degrees in
their field and specialized training in the care of children
with breathing problems. Our clinical support staff includes
registered nurses, respiratory therapists and medical
assistants all of whom are dedicated to the care of infants,
children and adolescents. Throughout our office, from
the front desk to our business office, we are committed
to hiring staff who support our mission to provide the
best care for children with respiratory disease.
